Beyonce And Jay-z Lead 2014 BET Awards Nominations

Beyonce And Jay-z Lead 2014 BET Awards Nominations

BET has announced the nominees for the 2014 BET Awards. Beyoncé and Jay Z take the lead with four nominations each. Beyoncé is nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration ("Drunk In Love"), and Video of the Year twice ("Partition," "Drunk In Love").
Besides being nominated alongside Beyoncé for Video of the Year and twice for Best Collaboration, Jay is also nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist.
The nominations announcement comes two days after footage leaked of Solange attacking Jay Z in a The Standard Hotel elevator the night of the Met Gala.
Drake, Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams and August Alsina follow behind with three nominations each.
"This year's nominees represent the best of the culture," says Stephen Hill, BET's President of Music Programming and Specials via a press release. "It's great to see our talented new artist's right alongside our more beloved ones with long careers. We appreciate our BET Awards nomination committee, over 300 strong, for their efforts and congratulate all the nominees."
The host for the BET Awards will be announced tonight (May 14) during 106 & Park at 6pm EST.
The award show will air live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, June 29 at 8pm EST.
