Bruno Mars To Headline 2014 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Bruno Mars To Headline 2014 Super Bowl Halftime Show

The 2014 Super Bowl is heading to planet Mars! Hey Hooligans, welcome back to Musiq Nation giving you the latest in music and entertainment news. Bruno Mars is headlining Super Bowl 2014 half time! Rumors were buzzing that Bruno Mars would be the halftime performer at next year's Super Bowl. And on September 8 it was officially confirmed by Bruno Mars himself who announced it right before Sunday's kickoff games. No surprisingly there is already somewhat of a backlash against the Hawaii native being the headliner, with critics thinking that a more established performer should have been chosen. With the Super Bowl taking place at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford New Jersey, many fans were hoping that a Jersey native such as Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen or even Jay- Z, would be performing. And with only 5 months to prepare, some are wary that he won't live up to previous performers such as Madonna and Beyonce. Celeb Kevin Zeggers even tweeted "Breaking news. Carpenters in NY laid off because Bruno Mars only needs a 4x4 Super Bowl stage. #pintsized." But let's give Bruno a break! Sure he's only had 2 albums, but the man has already won a Grammy! With hits like "Just the way you are," "Grenade" "Locked outta Heaven" and "When I was your Man," we can be sure that Bruno is not going anywhere. And have you ever seen him perform live? Because it is A-MAZING. Bruno took to twitter to show his excitement tweeting "AWWWWWWWW SHHHHHIIIIIEEEEEETTTTT #PepsiSBHalftime" and then, "WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!! #PepsiSBHalftime" and finally, "#Hooligans we did it!" Though some may have concerns, many others are more than thrilled with the NFL's choice. The Super bowl is set for February 2, 2014 and we can't wait to see what Bruno has in store. Leave us your thoughts about Bruno Mars performing at the Superbowl. Do you think he can out-dance last year's Beyonce's performance?
