The album was released exclusively on itunes. In just the first 3 hours the album sold 80,000 units and in 3 days 828,773 units. The album is now well over the 1 million mark making it platinum. This marks Queen Bey's 5th consecutive album to debut at #1, making her the only female artist in history to do so.so we can say this has been her best week of album sales for any of her albums. B Day bowed out at 541,000 it's first week. The album marks a powerful time for Beyonce. While her superstar peers like Katy Perry, Rhianna and Lady Gaga singers whom consistently release chart topping singles Beyonce jumps back in front of the pack with an album that is both commercially appealing and artistic. With no obvious lead singles on the album I think this is Beyonce's most cohesive and personal album to date. The album includes 14 songs and includes 17 accompanied music videos that you can buy exclusively on itunes for 15.99.
