What's up guys thanks for checking back in to Musiq Nation  for all your music  and entertainment news. Saturday night Queen Beyoncé performed at the UK's "V" Festival where she showed off another new hairstyle in Hylands Park. Just last week everyone went crazy over this short blonde bob look. The new look is slightly longer than the previous pixie  cut.  But the bad news? Fans had to wait outside in the pouring rain to see her perform. Reports say she was 20 minutes late (which to me doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me) and was booed by the crowd for her tardiness. The large crowd booed while they were waiting for her and then again when she finally took the stage opening with "Run the World". Booing Beyoncé—is that legal? But reportedly being late wasn't the only issue, fans said they couldn't hear her at the show due to audio problems. Meanwhile folks at home watching on TV didn't get to see her performance because Beyoncé's camp didn't give Channel 4 in England the proper broadcasting rights, according to NME. Despite all this, we know our gal Bey and I'm sure she still put on one heck of a show. And during the show Bey took the high road, being the role model she is, and apologized to fans! "Thank you all so much for waiting in the rain... Now let's have some fun in the rain. It feels good doesn't it." No doubt the rain felt good to Bey who was tearing up a storm with her dance moves and singing chops. If you were there would you have booed the queen? I wouldn't have? Kendrick Lamar bashing hip hops biggest stars on new song "Control". Welcome back to Musiq Nation giving you the latest in music and entertainment news. So what's all this drama with Kendrick Lamar about? Well, on August 12 rapper Big Sean dropped his new single titled "Control" featuring his pal fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. In  Kendrick's verse on the Big Sean song he took the opportunity to bash every single hot rapper in the game right now. Drama. The most controversial lyric in the seven minute song hears, "I'm usually homeboys with the same Niggas I'm rhyming wit/ But this is hip hop and them Niggas should know what time it is/ And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron, Tyler, Mac Miller/ I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you Niggas/ Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you Niggas." So not only does he call out raps elite, he says he's going to murder them and take their fans away. And that's not all. He also has a verse that goes, "I'm Machiavelli's offspring, I'm the king of New York/ King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both." Well apparently you can be the King of New York but born in Compton. So who has and who hasn't responded to this apparent rap diss? Diddy, took to Instagram posting this hilarious meme of himself and Jay Z laughing at Kendrick. Rapper B.O.B. has gone so far as to release a response track called "How 2 Rap" and honestly my  favorite line is, "I am the master, the guru, and after I school you, I'm skinning you..." But what I'm are really waiting for is my man Drizzy to respond, maybe with his own response track. And thank goodness Kendrick did not call out Kanye, cause yea i'm scared how he would react to that. Oddly, the new "Control" song won't be on Big Sean's upcoming "Hall of Fame" album dropping later this month, which is why he dropped it early. So listen to the track yourself and tell me if you think it's a wake up call to the rap community or totally ridiculous. Team Breezy, If tweets the are true then Chris Brown will be quitting the music industry after his highly anticipated next album titled "X". The album has been delayed several times with previous tour dates in July. The album has produced the single "Fine China" and most recently a collaboration with Nicki Minaj called "Love More". So could this claim by Chris be a PR stunt to promote the new album released next week?  So what did Chris tweet? Last week Breezy wrote, "Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album." Does that mean "X" is the last or one more after "X"? Of course that tweet has since been deleted, as Chris has done in the past. But CB wasn't done there! Chris followed that tweet up with an explanation of the allegation saying, "Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I'm cool & over it!" Well of course the "mistake" is one no one has forgotten. I'm sure Breezy is referring to his arrest for domestic assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna the night before the Grammys in 2009. We agree, it hasn't been easy for some people to get over it, but Chris hasn't exactly been an angel since the incident, only adding fuel to the fire by fighting with Drake at a club, getting DUI's, and recently turning himself in for a hit and run accident. So the big question: will Chris Brown's R&B singing career be over at this 6th album comes out?  What do YOU think? Is Breezy having a downer moment or is he fo real? Jay Z pops up for a performance of his song "Tom Ford" at Beyoncé's last Brooklyn show on the Mrs. Carter tour! Welcome back to Musiq Nation. Third Ward Trill has come back out to play, Beyhive! On August 5th Beyoncé wrapped up the first U.S leg of her world tour in Brooklyn at the brand new Barclays Center. It was Queen Bey's 3rd show in New York this week, and her subjects were all wondering: where the heck is our Hov cameo? Low and behold, during her performance of song "Bow Down", Jay Z appeared to preform his new tune off "Magna Carta Holy Grail" called "Tom Ford". Beyoncé in her black and gold jersey dress outfit and animal hat, was grinding through "Bow Down" with her backup dancers when she stopped mid song. The man that makes her Mrs. Carter appeared from the left and took over the stage. At first Beyoncé strutted away from Jay as he came toward her. Bey eventually plopped down on the side of the stage to sit and watch her man do his thang. She grooved in her seat while chilling on the side as he rapped his way through the song, which, by the way features Beyoncé as her hip hop alter ego "Third Ward Trill" on backup vocals. T.W.T. sang along to the "Tom Ford" song and Bey finally got up to end the song next to Jay where they danced together. The couple snuck a hug and a kiss before Jay ran off stage and Beyoncé continued performing her song "Bow Down". Nelly, Nicki and Pharrell drop their hot new "Get Like Me" music video with the Queen twerking on a throne! What's up guys welcome back to "Musiq Nation" giving you the latest in music and entertainment news. As you know rapper Nelly is back, and we should be pretty happy about that. Nelly recently teamed up with rappstress Nicki Minaj and producer Pharrell for a poppin' new track "Get Like Me". Not only do should we love the drum beat heavy song, but the recently debuted music video does not disappoint us either. The trio paint themselves black and white in the minimalistic new video and we see Nicki shaks her booty in the background with the other video gals, not simply waiting for her rap verse, to appear in the video. Nelly and Pharrell take their turns with the lyrics dancing with big booty ladies, and did I mention Nelly is dancing? Ok, thought so. The video continues with some flashy toys, some $100 dollar bill toilet paper and finally Nicki's rap verse greets us. Queen Barb takes a seat on her black throne and doesn't waste any time pimpin' her new Myx fusions Moscato beverage or holding her pink Pill speakers. Way to plug your goods, Nicki! She also shows off some of her famous twerking skills while sitting on her throne. And there's more where that came from, but you should you need to just check out the video yourself. Katy Perry's confirms new song "Roar" with a release date and a dark teaser video! Hey Katycats welcome back to your music source online: Musiq Nation! As I said in a previous post Katy's new single is titled "Roar" off her upcoming "Prism" album set to drop October 22.  The single is coming to your ears very soon: August 12th. Katy tweeted this morning, "WE DON'T NEED NO WATER LET THE BABY BLUE BURN" along with a link to a 30 second trailer for the new song. What is baby blue you ask? Well, the dark teaser clip starts with Katy starting up a lighter and you see blue turn into a flame. Eventually Katy pulls the lighter up to her face so we can see her in the dark, wearing a blank stare on her face. The only sound in the video is the roaring flame. Next, the lighter goes out and Katy  reveals what she is using the lighter to burn: her famous bright blue wig. The hair piece goes up in flames as Katy makes the most serious face we've ever seen on the light hearted Teenage Dream singer. Then the word: #ROAR comes on the screen keeping with her cat feline theme. And then "AUG 12" flashes on the screen revealing the song's release date. So we say goodbye to Baby Blue, no doubt a metaphor for her bubbly California Gurls pop days and hello to the new darker shade of Katy Perry. Lady Gaga took to Twitter for a little ARTPOP app Q&A revealing when we can expect her new music video! Hey Little Monsters Happy Thursday here at Musiq Nation, welcome back. On  July 31 Mother Monster engaged in a little fun Twitter Q&A with fans. As you already know, her first "ARTPOP" single "APPLAUSE" is coming very soon on August 19th and the most exciting reveal in the Q&A is that the music video is coming the same day!  Gaga has been collaborating with photography duo Inez and Vinnodh who also directed the "APPLAUSE" music video, shot  in Los Angeles at Paramount Studios. And the other exciting details revealed in the Twitter session are all about the innovative ARTPOP app. Gaga actually introduced us to the album slash app last September, explaining it will be available as an iPad, iPhone, mobile and computer application. And what will it do? The app will include, "completely interactive with chats, films for every song, extra music, content, gaga inspired games, fashion updates, magazines, and more..." The latest news of the app came when Gaga announced her single and album release date, on Facebook she explained, "...the app itself is a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion, and technology with a new interactive worldwide community -- 'the auras'." Today, in her Twitter answers Gaga announced the ARTPOP app will now be available for android, and will be accessible for Little Monsters worldwide. And the best part? The app is free. You can download the app from the iTunes app store and then purchase the album through the app, or just buy the album how you would normally. So it seems to us the app is just a brilliant extension of her social site LittleMonsters.com. But of course Gaga had a more creative way to describe the app tweeting, "The APP is an essence, an interactive jewel case." And in the Q&A we find out that you will be able to pre-order the app on August 19th just like you can the album. So will Gaga revolutionize album releasing with this app? We think so. Other artists who have released apps include Bjork's "Biophilia" in 2011 where each song had its own interactive section in the application. And just last month Jay Z did a deal with Samsung to release his album as an app to Samsung phone users. What do you think of albums as apps and what are you most looking forward to in Gaga's?

Psy reveals a new video is coming Fall and it may include a Black Eyed Pea! What's up guys welcome back to your source for music and entertainment news, Musiq Nation. Psy is gearing up for his 7th album which will be his 1st worldwide release. He originally planned to put it out in the 'Summer season' but apparently that's not the case. Now there's been word that his album will come in September but think that might be a bit of a stretch. Psy tweeted July 29, "already done with 3 songs and they are kinda nice!! #PSYonthealbum". Kinda nice? . But, if he's only done 3 songs I'm  not really sure a September release is going to happen. What I'm sure of is that Psy has been working on his album here in Los Angeles and he has recorded at least one song with his new friend Will.i.am. The two were spotted in the recording studio together a month ago and recently they two caught up for dinner at sushi spot Katsuya in Hollywood. But even if an album isn't coming very soon, a new single is. On July 24 Psy retweeted YouTube revealing, "gonna give u another one at fall " which means a new single is coming with that video. This new song will be his follow-up to most recent single "Gentleman". I'll keep you updated on this new Psy single

Rumor has it Katy Perry's first "Prism" single is called.... Roar! As you probably know by now colorful singer Katy Perry announced her new album title 'Prism' on the side of a giant gold semi truck on Sunday. According to the big rig the album is set to drop October 22, but what about a first single from the exciting new album? I've been hearing it will come sometime in this month and the first song is called... "ROAR"! Or is it "Rawr"? Either way, I like it and can't wait to hear Katy roar her little heart out. Further confirmation of the song title is from confirmed collaborator pal Dr. Luke who tweeted last week out of the blue, "and the new song starts with an "R"..." So I just have to ask myself, what will Katy be 'roaring about? Because a lots happened to the singer since her Teenage Dream album days. Not only did Katy divorce comedian Russell Brand, but she's dated fellow singer John Mayer, and had her own movie come out. And do cats roar? Katy's beloved fan base, the Katycats, know that her first two fragrances were named "Purr" and "Meow!" So this new single title fits in with Katy's feline theme! Not to mention Katy's songwriting pal Bonnie McKee has said her new album is more "grown-up" so is this Katy's transformation from a kitty to a lioness? Hmm. Speaking of Bonnie McKee, the two wrote another song for Katy's album called "Double Rainbow" and Katy has confirmed another song title is "Bad Photographs". So the moment of truth from you guys: what do you think of the new song title? Keep in mind, the "Roar" title is not confirmed by Katy yet, but I think it's just a matter of time, or days. Nicki Minaj responds to DJ Khaled's proposal by announcing their new song "I Wanna Be With You" and her second fragrance! What's up Barbz. It's been a busy summer for Nicki  she's been featured on countless hip hop tracks and there's another one to add to the list. Nicki Minaj called in to radio station Hot 97 to talk to Funk Flex about her new collaboration DJ Khaled. It seems his sincere marriage proposal video that appeared online last week was all in preparation for their new track together called "I Wanna Be With You" that also features Rick Ross and Future. So it seems wedding bells are not in Nicki Minaj's future. But it all makes sense, the fake proposal (which Khaled still alleges was serious) keeps with the song title's theme. Nicki told Fun Flex she had no idea about the proposal, "I was shocked just like the rest of the world!" and sets the record straight about their relationship, "Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya'll!" Nicki confirmed what I suspected: the proposal was all a giant PR stunt saying, "It was just another way for him to kinda give the world a glimpse on the feeling of this record." So what does the song sound like? In the new track Nicki sings the lines, "You decide, you be mine, you can come inside/ You the type that could make me prioritize/ Hit my phone it's alright". And we'll hit you guys up when the music video drops, it's being shot this week. But that's not the only Nicki surprise we have for you. Queen Barb announced yesterday via Twitter and Instagram that her second fragrance will drop this Fall, titled "Minajesty".  The bottle keeps with the previous fragrance theme, being in the shape of Nicki herself. This time she chose pink hair and red top. And what does it smell like? Nicki tweeted, "#Minajesty smells like a passionate love affair. Mysterious and sexy. An unforgettable and hypnotizing scent."
