"JAY Z and Justin Timberlake Dedicate "Forever Young" to Trayvon Martin at NYC Concert"

"JAY Z and Justin Timberlake Dedicate "Forever Young" to Trayvon Martin at NYC Concert"

They don't call it the Legends of The Summer Tour for nothing! Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake rocked the first of their sold-out shows, taking over the Yankee Stadium in NYC Friday night and paying tribute to Trayvon Martin while they were at it.

The duo saved the last song of their concert for the tribute, with Jay-Z and Timberlake performing a rendition of "Forever Young" in honor of the late teen.
"This is for Trayvon, so light up your cell phones New York!," Jay-Z yelled, with Timberlake adding, "One more time for Trayvon New York!"
In addition to their tribute, the pair brought along a couple of surprise performers, from Alicia Keys popping up during Jay-Z's performance of "Empire State of Mind," and Timbaland hitting the stage for Timberlake's 2006 hit "SexyBack."

And after the show was the after party!
Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Neyo, Meek Mill, and Fabolous all arrived at about 1:30 a.m. to the Jay-Z's 40/40 club in New York City.

Beyoncé was dressed very casual at the club, rocking curly hair, and sporting a button down long sleeve shirt with shorts and Christian Louboutin stilettos.
The power couple were spotted grabbing some food before the night was done, and Beyoncé got her groove on throughout the night, dancing with friends

Beyoncé Performs “Bow Down” For The First Time & Teases New Music Video

Beyoncé Performs “Bow Down” For The First Time & Teases New Music Video

Here’s an early morning double shot of Beyoncé news.Last night, Beyonce took her Mrs. Carter Show world tour to her hometown of Houston, and during the night’s performance she unveiled her March 2013 single "Bow Down"  for the first time in a live setting. The stage went dark, images of a young Bey with “Bow Down” over them appeared on giant screen, then it all went again before lighting up to reveal Beyoncé and a crew of dancers (all jumping around in stilettos, of course) ready to take the crowd by storm. People lost their minds, as did I when I realized I missed it, but luckily for all of us one fan in attendance captured the magic on video. You can view footage of “Bow Down” in Houston at the end of this post.

In a potentially related twist, a new video was added to the opening of Beyoncé's website last night that appears to tease an as-of-yet unreleased music video. This could possibly be a teaser for the long awaited “Bow Down / I Been On” video, but that cannot be confirmed at this time as the official clip has no sound. You can view the video on Bey’s website or below the performance clip at the end of this post (thanks to a rip from someone on YouTube). Whatever it is, you can rest assured I’ll update you as soon as more information becomes available.

Beyoncé pays tribute to Trayvon Martin

Beyoncé pays tribute to Trayvon Martin

Beyoncé pays tribute to the late teen Trayvon Martin at her concert in Nashville, in light of the recent George Zimmerman verdict. Saturday July 13 Beyoncé stopped in Tennessee on her Mrs. Carter Show tour for a night in Nashville. Right before her usual planned cover of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" at her show, Bey dedicated a moment of silence to the young Trayvon Martin saying, "I'd like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon." She then performed the Whitney cover song, fitting for the touching tribute. Beyoncé's concert that night started just about 30 minutes after 17-year-old Trayvon's shooter George Zimmerman was found 'not guilty' by a Florida jury in the shooting the teen. 29-year-old Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder for fatally shooting Trayvon in Sanford, Florida February 2012. Since the 'not guilty' verdict, protests have spawned around the Country disappointed by the decision. And Beyonce is not the only one to react to the Trayvon trial, Nicki Minaj tweeted, "And our taxes paid  for that trial. We just paid to see a murderer walk free after killing an innocent unarmed little boy. #GodBlessAmerica". And rapper Young Jeezy posted a new song called "It's A Cold World (A Tribute to Trayvon Martin)" to his Facebook page. What are your thoughts on the Trayvon trial and do you like that celebrities have voiced their opinions on this controversial trial? check out the Bey's performance to Trayvon below.

Justin Timberlake debuts 1st single off of his "20/20 Experience Part 2" album!

Justin Timberlake debuts 1st single off of his "20/20 Experience Part 2" album!

Justin Timberlake gifts us a new single off his 2nd album this year, a track called "Take Back The Night"! To groove you into the weekend, Justin Timberlake has dropped a new single called "Take Back the Night" off his "The 20/20 Experience" Part II album coming September 30th. Yes, JT has another album coming this year after his already successful "The 20/20 Experience" which dropped March 19th. After teasing us on Wednesday this week with a snippet of the lead single off the Part II album, Justin dropped the full audio on his VEVO YouTube channel yesterday. The video is a combo of an announcement and the audio track all in one. It starts off as a silent black and white video recap of his releases this year. "Suit & Tie" was released January 14th, then song "Mirrors" on February 11th, then the album on March 19th, and now "Take Back the Night" gets its release today July 12th, 2013. At first glance the song appears to be a track about regretting a scandalous night out on the town but upon listening it's an uptempo funky beat song that I could easily hear Michael Jackson recording. There are hints of horn and a casual bass beat with a chorus that croons, "Take back the night/ Dizzy, spinning, sweating, you can't catch your breath/ Take back the night/ Ooh, don't know when the sun is rising next". So the track is actually about seizing the moment and living through the night with no cares. It's a nice change from "Mirrors" which is a slower romantic song. "The 20/20 Experience" Part II drops September 30th with 11 tracks including a "Special surprise" from Justin. He is hitting the road this summer with Jay-Z for the "Legends of the Summer" stadium tour. check out the song below.

Jay-Z 12th Studio Album

Jay-Z's 12th Studio Album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" Is In Stores Today!

Jay-Z's highly anticipated 12th album "Magna Carta... Holy Grail" has arrived, and im here breaking down what critics are saying and giving you my two cents on this hip hop masterpiece.  Today July 9th Jay-Z's "Magna Carta... Holy Grail" album is officially on the market for purchase, after being announced at an NBA Finals game just last month. The hip hop album has seen a massive Samsung brand backing, tons of TV ads, a scavenger hunt for the track list and even a Twitter Q&A from Jay himself. Not to mention all the big name collaborations on the record including wifey Beyoncé, BFF Justin Timberlake, Rick Ross, Frank Ocean and various featured producers. But Hov is now a Dad and a sports agent, so how is the album being received? MTV's Rob Markman pointed out the lyrical staying power of the album, "It all sounds great, but subsequent listens uncover thoughtful commentary and societal observation, lending to the album's replay value." While Chris Richards of The Washington Post wasn't very optimistic saying, "...musically and lyrically, "Magna Carta" is one of Jay-Z's blandest offerings. Over 16 joylessly professional tracks, our hero laces up his sneakers for his bazillion-thousandth victory lap around the hip-hop universe...It's the sound of champagne being sprayed around an empty locker room." A little harsh if you ask me. USA Today was more forgiving stating, "The music was more than worth the wait." Ok, so what's our take? We're pleased and you should be too! Jay gives us an eclectic bunch of tracks and beats. He talks about the value of money in "Picasso, Baby", contemplates himself as a Father in "JAY Z Blue", plays with electronic beats in fashion inspired song "Tom Ford", and raps about water with "Frank Ocean" on "Oceans". My favorite songs on the record would have to include Justin Timberlake collaboration "Holy Grail" which kinda sounds like a hip hop Coldplay song. I also admire Jay and Beyoncé getting together for tender love song "Part II" where Bey sings about love making and partnership. Which kinda sounds like a good contender for an "03 Bonnie & Clyde Part 2"  Overall, a cool and confident Jay-Z brings his family, friends, wealth to the music which is honest and I can respect that. I think "Magna Carta... Holy Grail" will continue to be talked about and produce some big hits, however no word yet on what the first single will be. Enough of me talking, comment below and tell me what's your favorite song on the album?!

Lady Gaga News on release date

Lady Gaga release date and various song rumors.
Lady Gaga had previously said  that her 3rd forthcoming album titled "ARTPOP" would be released sometime in 2013, and a good guess would be before September 30th so that she is eligible for the 2014 Grammys. if so she might debut a new song at the 2013 VMAs on August 25th this year, as she is rumored to be on the cover of Rolling Stone in September and named "Woman of the Year". As far as what single would hear- we aren't 100% sure. However, there is good indication that the first single will be called "TEA". "TEA" was confirmed as a song on the album last October when Gaga tweeted the lyrics, "its been oolong since I've had a sip and I get this feeling, I need a green detox the truth will be the winner tonight- from TEA on ARTPOP". Other confirmed tracks include "Sex Dreams" based on a tweet from Gaga, "Burqa" based on a tweet she sent to pal DJ Zedd saying, "been listening to **rq* all day" and later her Dad Joe Germanotta told fans that was his favorite on the album. "GUY (Girl Under You)" was confirmed as a feminist song produced by DJ Zedd. We also know Gaga recorded two tracks with Azealia Banks "Ratchet" and "Red Flame" but whose to know if they will make it on "ARTPOP". As far as the inspiration, it's rumored half the new tracks are motivated from her time in Indonesia while on tour. Gaga told a fan backstage at one of her concerts that "ARTPOP" is about a phoenix rising from ashes, and this is her first "real album". As for the sound, she has promised fans fun, dirty, dance music and has admitted there is a tremendous lack of maturity on the album. We can also suspect some type of film documentary from her photographer pal Terry Richardson to come some time in 2014. Little Monsters, I know you have a lot to say about all this, so tell me down in the comments other ARTPOP rumors you've heard! And I promise i will get you more info on the release as it comes in
